Over the years, the festival has established itself as a high-quality arena for learning, inspiration, innovation and networking. About 1400 delegates attend, representing the full spectrum of the industry. The festival welcomes about 120 globally renowned media professionals as speakers. Our extensive program reflects the most pertinent challenges the industry is facing, best practice and current media trends. In addition to the main festival, workshops and evening events, we organize a variety of projects for high-school students: NMD Ung gives youth an opportunity to increase their competence and gain access to the media industry. The festival culminates in the prestigious Gullruten TV Award Show, the Norwegian equivalent of the Emmy Awards.

Nordic Media Days offers a unique arena for networking and the opportunity to interact with colleagues and make new connections. It is the only conference managing to bring together this wide variety of professions and media.

Location

The festival venue is Grieghallen in Bergen, and we are located on the dramatic west coast of Norway and surrounded by seven mountains. Bergen is recognized worldwide as "The Gateway to the Fjords". The city is steeped in history and has a vibrant art, music and food scene. Welcome to one of the world's most beautiful conference venues!

I have never met a nicer group of people in my entire life. I would honestly tell you, I don’t know if it’s the air, or the mountain or the whale meat, but keep it up!Rory Albanese, Writer & Executive Producer, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

«What an absolutely brilliant time I had at the Nordic Media Days. It was truly a game changer, both personally and professionally.» Nicole Logan, executive producer Goalhanger Podcasts

«It was a magical trip, and I was so thrilled to be invited. It was really rewarding to meet so many fascinating people. Thank you for inviting and spoiling us!» Jonathan Knight, head of NYTimes Games

«I am so grateful to all of you for the incredible conference you organized and how welcome you made me feel.»Timothy Good, film editor, The Last of Us
