Sylke Gruhnwald
Sylke Gruhnwald is a freelance reporter with a focus on "investigating power and technology from a feminist perspective".
She worked at the Neue Zürcher Zeitung from 2012 to 2014 and later at Swiss public broadcaster, where she set up and led data driven journalism teams. She then was co-editor-in-chief of the digital magazine Republik. She and her teams have been honoured several times for their work, including with two Swiss Press Awards, the Grimme Online Award, the European Press Prize and the IRE Special Award.
Sylke worked as a reporter on the "Legion: Most Wanted" team and she was the one who reached out to Bellincat’s Michael Colborne.
Sylke Gruhnwald is co-founder of Hackers Zurich, Lobbywatch.ch as well as Reporter-Forum Switzerland. She is former chairwoman of Journalismfund.eu. and board member of Investigativ.ch. Gruhnwald also initiated the investigation project The Migrants’ Files.
