Sex and the City star joins us on the podcast!
We talked with Cynthia Nixon about life as Miranda, the acting profession, and the USA.
She has numerous Golden Globe nominations, has won Tony, Emmy, and Grammy awards, and is a politically engaged New Yorker who has been on the theater stage since she was a child. But most of all, she is Miranda from "Sex and the City." For almost 20 years and through six seasons, Cynthia Nixon has lived with the role of the smart Miranda Hobbes in the iconic series. Right now, she is filming season three of the sequel, "And Just Like That," while also working on a new season of "The Gilded Age."
In this episode, the 58-year-old talks about what it has been like to grow up alongside her character. About how the lives of women in their 50s are uncharted territory. About why she loves the theater. And why she believes the USA is transitioning from a democracy to an oligarchy.
