Erja Yläjärvi, is the Senior Editor-in-Chief of Helsingin Sanomat, the largest daily newspaper in the Nordics. Yläjärvi came to Helsingin Sanomat in 2023 from Hufvudstadsbladet, the largest Swedish language newspaper in Finland, where she held the same position.

She has also worked as Senior Editor-in-Chief of the tabloid Iltalehti, and from 2013 to 2018 she was the Editorial Manager of Helsingin Sanomat.
