Aaliyah Akude

Aaliyah Akude is a podcast producer working as Producer of The Rest Is History at Goalhanger. She previously worked as Assistant Producer of The Rest Is History and The Rest Is Entertainment. With a University background in Media and Communications and a completed Graduate Internship with the indie audio company Unedited, she produced the first UK based Wrestling podcast hosted by two black women, called Wrestling Is Too Much Fun (now Tea and Tussle), from 2023-2024. The project was a part of Spotify Sound Up 2022 and was featured on Spotify’s Black History Month 2023 billboard at Leicester Square, London.

As Producer of Apple Podcasts’ 2025 Show Of The Year The Rest Is History, her main responsibility lays in the production and delivery of members-only mini-series for the show’s membership club, which includes over 120.000 paying listeners. She plans and organises them in close collaboration with hosts Dominic Sandbrook and Tom Holland, is an expert audio and video editor of the episodes, and comes up with promo and social media post ideas. On a day-to-day basis, she runs and plans recordings, and helps manage the listener communities and events.
