Guy Lagache
Through his thirty year long career as journalist, director and author, Guy Lagache has developed his craft as an in-depth journalist, business correspondent and documentary maker. In 2003, after 10 years of television reporting covering the unfolding of globalization, he became the host of CAPITAL, France’s leading current affairs/business investigative prime-time program on the M6 network - a position he held for close to ten years.
He subsequently moved to become a media executive by heading the news, magazine and documentary divisions of Channel 8, part of the French media giant CANAL/Vivendy for seven years after which he was appointed vice president of Radio France in charge of contents and the editorial strategy.
For the past 5 years, Guy Lagache has gone back to his initial passion, developing his craft at directing documentaries and writing. He is the author of « An Impossible Story » (published by Grasset), a historical novel set during the second world war.
In 2022 he wrote and directed the acclaimed documentary « A President, Europe and war », a 2 hour-long-film which follows President Emmanuel Macron behind the scene during France’s 6 months leadership of the rotating EU presidency, offering a unique insider’s look at months of diplomatic wrangling during the Ukraine war and Europe’s worst crisis since World War II.
Guy Lagache earned a Bachelor's degree in History from Columbia University. He also holds a Master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He lives in Paris.
