Sannuta Raghu

Sannuta Raghu is an award-winning Indian journalist and product manager who heads AI at Scroll.in. She is building Factivo, a multimodal versioning platform that turns a single reported story into structured components, allowing it to adapt across formats and user needs without losing editorial integrity.

She was a 2025 Journalism Fellow at the Reuters Institute, University of Oxford, where she developed the News Atom, a metadata blueprint designed to codify journalism’s knowledge layer for machines. As a 2024–25 ICFJ Knight Fellow, she built the Directory of Liquid Content, mapping the structural building blocks of how news is produced, distributed, and experienced.

Over the last two years, her work has focused on making editorial logic legible to machines: demonstrating that journalism is high-quality data grounded in verifiable events, places, and people; and deliberately codifying signals of trust, like attribution, temporality and epistemic signals, into machine-readable structures without flattening journalistic judgment.

Since 2016, she has built, shaped, and scaled Scroll.in’s digital video newsroom, creating news and news-plus products for platforms including Disney+, Hotstar and Netflix. She is also the executive producer of Eco India, a weekly television documentary series on climate change with DW, since 2018.

Sannuta speaks six languages and listens to Indian classical music on loop.
